Find @username below the display name on your profile, or use a previously added email or phone for recovery. Some receipts also identify the account. Roblox: I Forgot My Username.
Start by separating two tasks: identifying the account and regaining permission to use it. Finding a public username does not by itself prove ownership or supply the password.
If you are still signed in somewhere
Use that existing access to check the profile’s identifier. Write down the exact username, including any numbers or underscores, and label it clearly in your private account notes.
On a shared device, confirm that the open account is yours before relying on the result. Compare it with details you recognize from your own use. Do not change settings in a family member’s account simply because the display name looks familiar.
A display name is not unique. Roblox: Changing Your Display Name. If you want a new nickname instead, use the display-name guide.
Use the email recovery route
Use Forgot Username or Password and follow the recovery email to view matching usernames. Roblox: I Forgot My Username.
If several accounts appear, do not automatically select the first. Think about which account you used and compare the list with any existing records. A parent may have helped with more than one account, so several matching names are not automatically evidence of a problem.
Keep the recovered identifier separate from the next step. You may now know which account is yours while still needing to recover its password. Avoid changing every account returned by the email lookup when only one needs attention.
Use a phone number already on the account
The recovery page’s phone tab confirms a previously added number before showing matching usernames. Roblox: I Forgot My Username.
Be clear about which number was actually used. Your current number and a number that was previously used for the Roblox account are not necessarily the same. If a parent supplied the number, ask that parent to help rather than requesting codes for numbers you do not control.
Look through your own purchase records
Some purchase receipts show the username. Roblox: I Forgot My Username. Search your own records, taking care to distinguish purchases for different family accounts.
Do not upload the entire receipt to a public forum to ask someone to read it. If you locate the username, record only the identifier in your personal notes. Keep any payment information private unless official support specifically needs it through its own process.
You know the username, but sign-in still fails
Try to describe the remaining problem precisely. Is the password rejected, does a verification method block you, or does the account show a separate restriction? The username search has solved only the identification step.
Roblox provides password reset through its recovery feature; without an email or phone previously added, self-service reset is unavailable and support must verify ownership. Roblox: I Forgot My Password. Use our account recovery guide for that next branch.
Verified-email login can also be useful, but Roblox may require the specific username when one email matches several accounts. Roblox: Logging In with Your Email. Do not keep alternating between a display name and email if the screen explicitly asks for the username.
When there is no usable account record
Roblox offers no guaranteed workaround without the necessary account records. Roblox: I Forgot My Username. Do not pay strangers to discover private details.
Use the official support route to explain the information you actually have. State uncertainties honestly. A careful account history is more useful than guessing an email address or claiming a receipt belongs to an account you cannot identify.
