Open Roblox’s official redemption page in a browser, confirm the account that should receive the gift, and enter the code there. Do that account check before revealing or submitting the PIN. On a shared device, the account already signed in may belong to someone other than the intended recipient.

Prepare the gift and recipient
Ask the recipient to show you their username and compare it with the profile on the redemption page. If they are a child, agree together which account is receiving the gift. Do not choose an account just because its display name looks familiar.
Keep the receipt or purchase email nearby, but do not paste it into the code field. Identify the actual redemption code on the physical card or digital delivery. Work in good light, and keep the code out of photos you intend to share publicly.
If you are helping several children, complete one account and one card at a time. Make a private note of which gift belongs to which recipient before starting. This small organisational step is much easier than reconstructing a sequence of account switches later.
Complete one redemption and read the result
After entering the code, pause and read what the page says. Do not interpret a changed balance, a credit label, or a confirmation message from memory. Keep the current result available until you have checked the correct account and understood what was added.
For retail codes, Roblox states that the Robux goes to the account signed in at redemption. Different retail products can have different contents, so read the product you actually received. Roblox: Retail Codes

Distinguish Roblox Credit from Robux
Roblox Credit is viewed and spent in a browser. The redemption page or Billing Settings can show it. Some products, including Amazon and Party Packs cards, redeem directly for Robux rather than credit. Roblox: Managing and spending your Roblox Credit
Read the unit next to the balance. A currency amount and a Robux amount are not the same measurement. If you expected the Robux number in the app to rise but the browser shows credit, inspect the available purchase choices before assuming the gift failed.
A useful comparison is to write two separate lines: “credit displayed” and “Robux displayed.” Record what the interface actually says on each line. That prevents you from treating two different balances as competing versions of the same number.
Review the purchase screen before using credit
Roblox’s credit guide describes Get Robux and, for eligible small remaining balances, Convert Credit to Robux. It says the offered package may be preselected, so inspect the choice before confirming. Roblox: Managing and spending your Roblox Credit
Check the amount being used, what you will receive, and whether the choice fits your plan for the gift. Do not click through simply because the next button is prominent. If you intended to save part of the gift, compare that intention with the screen before buying.
For a child, make this a separate approval conversation from redeeming the gift itself. Receiving a balance does not mean every suggested purchase is the one the family agreed on. You can finish redemption and decide what to buy later.
Keep a record that is useful without exposing the code
Keep the original receipt, the redemption date, and the recipient’s username privately. If you save a screenshot of the result, avoid including the full PIN when it is not necessary. Never post the code in a comment asking whether it looks valid.

If the gift was redeemed to an unexpected account
Stop before making more purchases. Note which account is open and what confirmation you saw. Check only accounts you own or are authorised to help with. Do not ask someone else for their password so you can search their balance.
Prepare a clear explanation for the official support route if needed: the intended recipient, the account involved, and the result shown. Keep expectations open until the specific case is reviewed. A screenshot from another user’s experience cannot establish what options apply to your gift.
