Open Roblox’s official status page when several features suddenly fail or multiple experiences stop joining. Compare the affected service and incident timing with your own symptom. This article explains how to check; it is not a live declaration that Roblox is currently up or down. A status reading can change after the page is published.
Roblox directs users to its status page for service information. The page separates areas such as user-facing apps, game joining, and creator services, and includes incident history. Read the relevant area instead of relying only on an overall headline.
Begin with a precise description
Decide what is failing: signing in, opening the website, joining an experience, loading an avatar, or completing a creator task. If only the application on one device closes, that is a different starting point from several friends being unable to join.
Write down when the problem began and the time zone you are using. A report saying โthis morningโ can refer to different hours for different people. You do not need a technical log to provide a useful time and symptom.
Read the incident rather than a screenshot
- Open the official status page directly.
- Look for the service closest to your symptom.
- If an incident is listed, open or read its available updates and check their times.
- Compare those updates with your own attempts before deciding what to change locally.
A screenshot shared in a group may describe an older incident. A social post can also be genuine but no longer current. Use its date as context and return to the original status page before treating it as evidence about your session.
Likewise, a green headline is one source of information, not a promise about every user’s route, device, or experience. If your problem continues, record it accurately instead of assuming the page must either explain everything or be useless.

This capture shows the overall green status banner at one moment. It does not show the health of every experience, device, or network connection. If your own attempt still fails, compare the affected feature and your attempt time with the current page, then use the table below to choose your next check. This is a status-page capture, not evidence of gameplay testing.
Match the status update to your next step
Use the table after opening the official status page. It is a decision aid, not a current service report. The useful question is whether the listed service and time overlap with the action that failed for you.
| What you find | Next step | Keep the conclusion narrow |
|---|---|---|
| An active incident describes the same failing feature. | Note its latest update time and keep the incident link. Follow the update before making another ordinary attempt. | The match supports waiting; it does not establish a repair time. |
| An incident concerns a different feature. | Record your exact failing action and try one comparison, such as joining another experience. | A creator-tool incident alone does not explain every player problem. |
| No matching incident appears, but your attempt still fails. | Record when you checked and follow the guide for the error you actually see. | An operational label does not identify which local change would help. |
| The matching incident is resolved, but your original action still fails. | Make a fresh note with the current time and error. Include the incident link if you contact support. | Separate the remaining problem from the earlier outage. |
Keep two times in your note: when you checked and the incident’s latest update time. Add the time zone shown for each; do not silently assume they match. A compact record is: โChecked [date, time, zone]; trying [action]; status update [time and link]; latest attempt [result].โ This makes an old screenshot much less likely to steer your next decision.
Understand the difference between service and experience scope
If you cannot join one experience but others work, preserve the first experience’s link and error text. If many experiences fail, that broader scope is more relevant to a platform incident. If the website loads but joining does not, say both things in your notes.
A friend’s result can help, but their device, location, and session may differ from yours. โThree people on our home Wi-Fi cannot joinโ and โfriends on several unrelated networks cannot joinโ are different observations. Avoid turning either one into a worldwide-outage claim without official confirmation.
What to do during a matching incident
Roblox’s outage guidance says service issues can delay joining, produce lag, and delay delivery of purchases. If the published incident matches what you are seeing, wait for an update and make occasional ordinary retries rather than repeatedly changing your device.
Do not reinstall after every failed join, reset your password without an account-access reason, or buy an item again simply because delivery is delayed. Keep any receipt and note the time. Follow the official purchase-support route if a delivery problem persists; this guide cannot promise a resolution time.
What to do when no matching incident is shown
Continue with a small local comparison. Try a second experience on the same device, then an allowed alternative connection if available. Keep changes separate and record what differed. The absence of a matching incident does not identify the local cause for you.
If joining shows error 279, use the error 279 checklist. If a session ends with error 277, use the disconnect guide. If the app itself closes on a phone or tablet, use mobile crash troubleshooting rather than treating every closure as an outage.
After the incident is marked resolved
Retry the original action and compare it with your earlier note. If it works again, stop changing settings. If it still fails, keep the current error and mention the incident as context when you contact support.
A concise report should distinguish what happened during the incident from what remains afterward. Include your device, experience or feature, time, and comparison results. That gives support a current problem to investigate instead of an old outage headline that may no longer describe your situation.
